Born in Waco, 1895. Joined Texas National Guard in 1915. Served on Mexican Border in 1916. Served in France, 1916-1919, commissioned 2nd Lt. in Field Artillery. Attended many training schools between wars. Ordered to active duty, Nov. 1940. Served in Italy and North Africa. Retired from active duty in 1946, joined Texas Adjutant General's Office.
